During a lifetime of observation I have concluded that there are three consistent behaviors that result in success. The first is that you should never expect something for nothing. Don't wait for things to be handed to you - set your own goals and work hard to get there. Take care of those around you in the process and they will go out of their way to help you reach your goals. Another positive behavior is the consistent application of common sense and logic. The project management courses I teach are all based on common sense and logic. However, common sense is not that common. If it is not applied at least you may get some unexpected free entertainment. The last beneficial behavior is to continue to learn new skills until the day you are "six feet under". For many years, I have completed at least one major personal project per year that is "outside my comfort zone" in an attempt to keep my mental and physical "edge". Bottom line is to have some fun while making the most of life.
